Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Eduardo's Auto Body handles personal information in connection with this website and collision, body, and painting repair services at our East Boston and Malden shops. It also explains the choices available to you.
Scope and responsibility
This policy applies to information handled through eduardosautobody.com, by telephone, and during repair-related interactions with our two shops. It does not govern an insurer, parts supplier, towing company, mapping provider, social media platform, or other third party that operates under its own privacy policy.
Information we collect
Information you provide
When you call, visit, seek an estimate, authorize work, or communicate about a repair, we may receive your name, contact details, vehicle information, photographs, damage and repair details, insurance and claim information, payment information, communications, and any other information you choose to provide.
Information collected through the website
The current website does not offer an account or web estimate form. Standard hosting technology may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested pages, referring page, and request time. Our separate Cookie Policy explains browser storage and tracking.
Information from others
When appropriate to a repair, we may receive information from an insurer, vehicle owner, authorized representative, parts or service provider, or another person involved in the claim or repair.
How we use information
- Respond to questions and arrange estimates or shop visits.
- Evaluate damage, prepare repair information, obtain authorization, perform repairs, and communicate status.
- Work with insurers and other parties at your direction or as needed for an authorized repair.
- Process transactions, maintain business and repair records, and address warranty or service concerns.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and our services.
- Comply with legal obligations, establish or defend legal claims, and prevent fraud or misuse.
Retention and security
Information should be retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including repair records, accounting, dispute resolution, warranty administration, and legal compliance. Retention periods vary by record and legal obligation.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. Massachusetts rules establish safeguards for covered personal information of Massachusetts residents. See 201 CMR 17.00 on Mass.gov.
